Abstract

Algerian companies have a very mixed track record in terms of innovation, ranking 118th out of a total of 126 countries (global innovation index 2018). This situation strongly impacts the level of competitiveness of the Algerian economy and its companies, knowing that innovation is not only the sign of vitality for a company, according to (Schumpeter), but also, a base on which will be based the sustainable economic development of a society. Several experiences in the world, show the development of innovative strategies in the field of innovation, in its various forms, which consist in the establishment of a policy of strengthening individual and collective initiatives, by setting up new models for support for innovation, such as the open innovation model. In fact, open innovation tends to strengthen inter-company relations, and therefore, the increase of information and co-operative exchanges between the company and its partners. The objective of this work is to highlight the issues related to open innovation, by structuring networked businesses around innovation (BCG report and CMI 2008), and the opportunities offered by the latter for companies. This new vision, which according to (CHESBROUCH, H 2003), is no longer to be content with the internal resources of the company, but rather, to rely on the innovation capacity of multiple parties external stakeholders.
