Description of the team's research theme

Water quality and vulnerability are the focus of our work, which involves monitoring the physico-chemical and micro-biological quality of water in dams, alluvial aquifers in the valleys, the Djurdjura, the basement massifs and the coastal chain. All resources are overexploited. Water alteration due to various discharges into nature and urban, industrial and agricultural waste is observed along all wadis, increasing the vulnerability of groundwater.
Our work has enabled us to present results in the form of communications and publications and doctoral (SISMAIL March 2014) and Magister (AIGOUN October 2014) theses.
In this comprehensive and integral study, we propose to further consolidate all available data and feed multi-source databases and facilitate their multifactorial processing. This database will also facilitate the circulation of information between the various partners. It will be an effective tool for monitoring and updating any changes observed. All information and results will be grouped together and rendered in the form of functional thematic maps using GIS. They will be accessible and updatable on computer media for hydraulics, the environment, urban planning and development, agriculture and tourism.
