Geo-materials Environment & Planning Laboratory (LGEA)

Research and technological development objectives focus on the following areas:

•  Modernization of civil engineering techniques ;
• Development of calculation methods and tools for civil engineering structures (buildings, tunnels, dams, ports, airports, roads, etc.);
• Improving the behavior of geomaterials and structures, taking into account the local environment;
• Making the most of local and recycled materials;
• Use of local materials to reduce soil sealing and protect water tables;
• Application of recent soil stabilization techniques to Algerian soils;
• Quality of service and safety of structures and infrastructures;
• Reducing natural hazards ;
